Declaration

Takashimaya Labour Union, sets as its basis for union activity, the enrichment of all union members’ life environment.

Takashimaya Labour Union, in order to achieve a higher level of wage and a good working environment, is devoted to creating an efficient, democratic working environment as well as raising the level of productivity among our members.

Takashimaya Labour Union is autonomously operated based upon the consensus of opinion of all union members. Accordingly, this eliminates the intervention of outside management and makes it possible to cooperate widely with other unions on the same level.

Takashimaya Labour Union, although not being indifferent to politics, does not involve itself in political conflicts that would cause it to lose sight of the unions’ primary function; and it does not support any one specific political group or organization. Furthermore, Takashimaya Labor Union restricts, even in the case of an individual’s conduct, any conduct that is opposed to the Union Declaration and policy, or any conduct that obstructs solidity of the Union.

  1. Name of Union: TARO {Takashimaya Rodo-kumiai}
    (rodo kumiai means Union)-June 1,1991
    UNIOX 21 Declaration (1990) Solemn declaration made to all Union Members to cast the Union into a new mold fit for the 21st century
    We are the Unions of the New Age. We as the “My Goodlife Designers Networking” Union take a broad view at society and are indent on achieving a high quality of life and prosperity while spreading our spheres of activity.

    (2) “UA ZENSEN”~The Japanese Federation of Textile, Chemical, Food, Commercial, Service and General Workers' Unions~

    On 6th November, 2012, UI ZENSEN and JSD created a new union, UA ZENSEN, which is the largest industrial union in Japan. UA ZENSEN covers various industries which is closely related to people's daily life, such as textile, garment, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical, energy, ceramic, building material, food, commerce, printing, leisure, service, restaurant, welfare, medical, as well as temporary agency and contract work

    Number of Union members: 1.51million(as of September 2014)
